Any Secrets and Easter Eggs that are found in Call of Duty: Ghosts will be posted here, like references to other games and pop culture, multiplayer Easter eggs and other hidden stuff. Find them if you can!

Extinction Easter Egg: Enemies Drop Alien Dolls (LOL)

On the Extinction Mode map Point of Contact the above easter egg can be found. To activate it you need to shoot the L and O letters in the Lodge on the Gils Lodge Motel Sign in the order L-O-L.

If done accuratly and quickly enough LOL will appear on the screen indicating the start of the easter egg. From now on when you kill an alien it will explode into a hail of teddy aliens. This does time out eventually but can be repeated multiple times.

Teddy Bear on Flooded

On the Multiplayer map Flooded, a Teddybear can be found. Go to the center of the map and stand on the roof of a submerged bus. Look to the north to find a vent. Climb it and the bear can be seen at the top, tucked between the vent and the wall.

Gil's Lodge Motel

Extinction, just before the first major Hive, where the helicopter comes to assist, there is a Gil's Lodge Motel sign. Usually all the lights are out, but ing occasionally 3 letters light up, forming the acronym LOL.


Although first thought to be a standalone thing, this LOL was actually a clue, and leads directly into the next Easter Egg.


Zelda and Doctor Who Trophies

Redditor plotcoupon uploaded the below image, in which a number of awards can be seen. Starting from the far left, a trophy in the shape of The Doctor's TARDIS can be seen, bearing the words "Award for Largest Interior with Smallest Exterior".

These trophies are hidden about midway through the Federation Daymission. They're scattered throughout offices alongside the main route during your escape from the skyscraper.

Alternatively these Trophies can also be found in the mission,  Struck Down




Casting your eyes to the middle award you'll see it's shaped like Zelda's Rupee currency, and was apparently handed out to an individual "for most bushes cut and pots smashed".


Finally, the award on the right is given for the world not ending in 2012, presumably referencing the Mayan prophecy that the world would come to an end in December 2012.

Saving Private Ryan Reference

During the mission "All or Nothing" you come across a soldier about to be executed. If you kill every enemy around him your "Saving Pvt Ryan" which is of course a reference to the "Saving Private Ryan" Movie.



Star Wars Reference

In a later mission, you will be tasked with sinking a ship with a Remote Controlled Torpedo. If you are unable to do so the first try, you will be told to "Aim for the thermal exhaust port".

This is quite similar to what is told to Luke Skywalker and other pilots when setting out to destroy the first Death Star.


Platoon

The father in the campaign is named Elias, just like Sgt. Elias out of the movie Platoon.

Rourke also highly resembles Sgt. Barnes, with his dew rag and large scar running along his face.

Three Wise Monkeys Reference



In the perks menu, under the Stealth category. The first three perks have icons, and each icon has an X, representing no sound, no sight, and no hearing. This is quite similar to the Three Wise Monkeys, who are most famous for the proverb they are in which involves them "Seeing no evil, hearing no evil and speaking no evil".
